Canada Post will prioritize clearing the backlog of mail and packages that accumulated during the service interruption. This means that while services will be available starting December 17, delivery times may be slower than usual as the system catches up. Customers are encouraged to remain patient as operations gradually return to normal.
Limited Services Initially
For the first 48 hours of resumed operations, services will be limited. New shipments will not be accepted until Thursday, December 19, 2024, to allow Canada Post to focus on clearing the backlog.
