EltaMD Is Back in Canada—and at Eye Drop Shop

There is a particular kind of relief in finding your favourite sunscreen again. Not a “close enough” replacement. Not a bottle that means rebuilding your whole morning routine. The one you already know how to wear.
For many Eye Drop Shop customers, that sunscreen was EltaMD. It was one of our best-selling skincare brands, and we know the interruption was inconvenient. Finding an SPF that suits your skin, feels comfortable and sits well under makeup takes time. Having to start again was not a small thing.
So we have good news: EltaMD has returned to our Canadian store. If you have been waiting for UV Clear or UV Physical, welcome back.
What is back at Eye Drop Shop?
Our returning assortment includes UV Clear SPF 46 in both Clear and Tinted, and UV Physical Tinted SPF 41. These are two different sunscreen formulas, with three finish choices between them. We are not announcing the entire US EltaMD catalogue or promising that every Canadian retailer has the same availability.
As of our October 14, 2026 update, these products are stocked at Eye Drop Shop. The product pages show current purchasing options; availability can change as orders come in.
UV Clear SPF 46: the lightweight daily favourite

UV Clear is an easy place to restart if you loved a lightweight, oil-free facial sunscreen with skincare ingredients. Its formula combines zinc oxide and octinoxate for broad-spectrum protection, along with 5% niacinamide and sodium hyaluronate. The 48 g pump format is offered in Clear and Tinted.
Choose Clear if you prefer no added tint or want your own makeup to set the colour. Choose Tinted if you like a little visual evening-out without turning sunscreen into a foundation step. Neither choice replaces applying the full sunscreen amount. Our UV Clear guide explains the formula and both finishes.
UV Physical SPF 41: mineral filters and a soft tint

UV Physical Tinted takes a different approach: zinc oxide and titanium dioxide are its sunscreen actives. It has a light tint, a matte direction and a generous 85 g tube. Its 40-minute water-resistance rating is another practical difference from UV Clear.
It is especially worth revisiting if you preferred mineral-only UV filters or enjoyed the way its subtle colour fitted into your routine. A single tint will not suit every complexion, so choose for your actual skin tone—not just the word “tinted.” Read the UV Physical product guide or use our UV Clear versus UV Physical comparison if you are undecided.

What happened to our earlier announcement?
Earlier in 2026, we told customers that the Canadian distribution change made future restocking uncertain. That article reflected the situation we were communicating at the time. It is no longer the right description of what you can buy from us today.
We have updated the original availability article and the related comparisons to make the return clear. We are not going to dress up an unknown behind-the-scenes explanation as a fact. The useful news for you is simple: the EltaMD products listed above are back in our Canadian assortment.
Already switched to Colorescience? You do not need to undo a good decision.
If you found a Colorescience sunscreen you love during the interruption, keep enjoying it. A familiar brand returning does not make your new favourite a compromise. No-Show’s sheer mineral finish, Flex’s shade options and buildable coverage, and Glow’s luminous look remain genuinely different reasons to choose those products.
We now carry both lines. The UV Clear versus Colorescience guide and UV Physical versus Flex and Glow comparison can help if you want to compare them side by side. Our eight-product Colorescience guide also covers the broader routine.
A familiar routine, with room for what your skin needs now
You do not have to make your choice out of loyalty. Perhaps UV Clear was perfect for you before, but you now prefer a tinted finish. Perhaps UV Physical is still exactly right. Or perhaps Colorescience solved something you had always wished your old sunscreen did differently.
Start with texture, tint and how you spend your day. Then apply generously and reapply during sun exposure as directed. Sunscreen is easier to keep using when you enjoy wearing it, but a lovely finish only helps if you use enough.
And yes, this is a welcome-back in autumn. Canadian sun care is not only a beach-season habit: outdoor time, travel and reflective snow can still make protection relevant. Pair SPF with sunglasses and a hat rather than asking one product to do everything.
Frequently asked questions
Is EltaMD available in Canada again?
It is available again at Eye Drop Shop Canada in the returning assortment described here. We cannot speak for every retailer or guarantee future stock.
Which EltaMD products are back?
UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 in Clear and Tinted, and UV Physical Tinted Mineral Sunscreen SPF 41.
Is Colorescience being replaced?
No. Both brands remain in our collection. Choose EltaMD for the formula and finish you enjoy, or Colorescience for its own strengths.
Do I need to buy a different formula now?
Not simply because EltaMD has returned. If your current sunscreen works well for your skin, there is no need to switch for the sake of switching.
