Anterior blepharitis is inflammation of the front part of the eyelid, where the eyelashes grow. It’s often caused by bacteria or skin conditions like seborrheic dermatitis.

Common symptoms include red or swollen eyelids, flaking at the lash line, burning, irritation, and a gritty feeling in the eyes.

Daily eyelid cleansing is key. Use a gentle lid scrub, foam, or wipe to remove debris and reduce bacteria. Warm compresses can also help loosen crusts and improve gland function.
